Fishing Vessels

Part of the Davidson Collection of historic photographs

During the period about 1920 to the late 1960s a considerable number of steam-powered seagoing fishing boats worked along the NSW coast from Sydney.

Several companies were involved, the best-known being Cams and Red Funnel Trawlers.

By the early 1960s all of the sea-going trawlers had been retired without replacement.
