The Reeelers entered the charts this week at No.2 with the song, ‘Maggie May’.
They can be seen at www.w-fm.com by scrolling to ‘Radio top 10’ where you will see their smiling faces. The station is based in W.A. and is heard in 40 countries world-wide via the internet, including Britain, Europe and America.
The James Craig Reeelers are now planning a tour of the South Coast of New South Wales from Eden to Jervis Bay, to coincide with the ship’s visit to Eden for the Whale Festival. Plans will also be made to perform in Melbourne in January 2006, to coincide with the recently announced voyage.
A second album is now in post production stage. It will include the song, ‘Behold James Craig’, which is to feature in a television film being made about the voyage to Hobart. Other songs, written by Jimmy Parbuckle, are ‘Ode to Colin Orr’, (our old shipmate), ‘The Ballad of Rajib Roy’ (our young shipmate) and ‘Ocean of Darkness’, which describes a voyage around Cape Horn.
