McWilliams Wines - surfboat of Collaroy Surf Lifesaving Club

Four oared standard tuck-stern surfboat

Built in 1982 and donated to Collaroy Surf Lifesaving Club by McWilliams Wines (one of 10 boats donated to the Club by this sponsor). Used in surfboat racing until 1992. This hull represents the height of wooden surfboat design using moulded sandwich construction and is probably among the last of the wooden surfboats constructed.

Donated to the Sydney Heritage Fleet by the Collaroy Club and McWilliams Wines in 1992.
