A unique half-day nautical experience visiting the Sydney Heritage Fleet, Australia's largest collection of operational heritage ships and boats. Cruise aboard a heritage vessel, tour the Heritage Docks & Workshop and finish with lunch at the Sydney Fish Market.
Tuesdays and Thursdays only, at only $25 per head, this popular tour led by our knowledgeable volunteer guides, is a great way to discover what the Sydney Heritage Fleet is doing for Australia's maritime heritage.
Minimum passenger numbers: 15 (or groups fewer than 15 pay $375)
Maximum passenger numbers: 30
Groups need to arrive & meet at the two big anchors in the paved area outside the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) main doors, at the western end of Pyrmont Bridge, Pyrmont at 0930 sharp.
1. GROUPS COMING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
- If coming by light rail alight Pyrmont Bay train stop (LH side exit) cross over Pirrama Road lights and walk to the ANMM (2 Murray St)
- By monorail, alight Harbourside for ANMM and walk down Murray street.
2. GROUPS ARRIVING WITH OWN BUS
- Please advise us if your group is coming by bus when booking, so we can allocate a bus parking space
TOUR STOP ONE 1000 - Morning tea aboard the 1874 Tall Ship James Craig. (photo right)
Followed by an extensive tour of the ship, museum, and our collections with full commentary.
TOUR STOP TWO 1130 - Board our heritage vessel Harman, for a Harbour trip with historical commentary. Alight at the Heritage Docks & Workshop, Rozelle for an exclusive guided tour.
TOUR STOP THREE 1230 - Your group will travel by boat to the famous Sydney Fish Market arriving approximately 1300. And this is where we say goodbye, and for you to enjoy lunch (your own expense).
For groups we recommend the set menu at the Deep Seafood Cafe (cost for Fish 'n' Ships participants approx $13.50 - fish/chips/salad, tea/coffee). Group lunch bookings please phone George on 9660 3526. Great seating without the seagulls and with clean amenities close by.
NB: All participants of Fish 'n' Ship tours must wear sturdy covered footwear (sandals, stilettos or open toed footwear are prohibited) as our Heritage Docks & Workshop are an industrial construction site.
