Wednesday 8 July Tall (Ship) Stories. "100 tons and over . . .". Piloting the many large commercial vessels which (used to) visit the Port of Sydney takes skill and, at times, tests the nerves. John Biffin talks about his experiences as one of Sydney's sea pilots. TSS starts with tea, coffee and biscuits from 5.30pm in the Wharf 7 Conference Room on the ground floor. John's talk begins at 6.00pm and, afterwards, enjoy a glass of wine with dinner while the conversation flows. Booking is essential. Please book with Lynelle on 9298 3888 or email her at lboyd@shf.org.au. The cost is $7.50 which includes all food and drink and is payable at the door on the night. (Members only).
