Core Responsibilities
- To maintain ship's rig
- To maintain ship's lifting gear and register
- To maintain ship's climbing gear and register
- To maintain a safe work area at all times whilst performing duties
- To maintain a safe work area for volunteers assisting
- To assist in maintaining public's safety
- To minimise the impact of work being carried out on all the ship's modes of operation

| Rig inspections | Complete inspection every 6 months |
| Maintain rig maintenance records | Inspect monthly and list work needed to be carried out. Consult with James Craig Operations Manager to develop agreed job list |
| To supervise assigned volunteers | Supervise volunteers directly involved in the agreed job being undertaken |
| Maintain rigger's container | Maintain rigger's container and contents in a safe and clean state |
| General Duties | To perform general tasks throughout the fleet's facilities as instructed |
