In October last year The Australian National Maritime Museum and the Australian Heritage Fleet joined forces to present the inaugural Phil Renouf Memorial Lecture in honour of the Fleet's former President.
To continue the commemoration of Phil’s immense legacy to maritime heritage, the two museums will host the 2nd Phil Renouf Memorial Lecture at the Australian National Maritime Museum on Wednesday, 17th March 2004. (Please note the change in date.)
Sir James Hardy OBE, sportsman, winemaker, businessman and community leader is this year's guest speaker.
In an outstanding career as a yachtsman, Sir James skippered Gretel II in the 1970 Challenge for the America's Cup, twice represented Australia at the Olympic Games and competed several times in the Admiral's Cup.
Sir James is an inspiring speaker and his lecture entitled 'My life in yachting' is not to be missed.
Date: Wednesday, 17th March 2004
Time: 6.15pm - 8.30pm (Wine & cheese served after the lecture)
