Tall Ship Guayas in Sydney

Guayas, Ecuadorian Navy training tall ship, is visiting Sydney on the 6th of January to the 10th of January.

The Guayas, launched in 1976, is named in honour of the Chief Guayas, the Guayas river and Guayas, the first steamship that was construct in South America in 1841. As an ambassador of its country, tall ship Guayas is a participant in tall ship regattas.

While in Sydney, she will be berthed at the Australian National Maritime Musuem’s North Wharf, where HMB Endeavour is normally birthed.

Sydney Heritage Fleet’s tall ship James Craig will head out to the heads to meet her arrival and then send her off on the 10th of January.
