Help needed

Youth Programs: 
Volunteers needed to help out with sleepovers & youth programs on the James Craig.  Must have working with children clearance.

 

Volunteer Records Data Entry:
We require a data entry person to input qualifications. Requires knowledge of computer input in Salesforce or any databases or keen to learn. Must be familiar with Maritime qualifications or ability to do research unsupervised.

 

Maintenance Wharf 7:
More volunteers required for general maintenance work on James Craig on Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays and  some Saturdays.

 

Volunteer Vacancies at our Rozelle Workshop:

Fitter Machinist:

Trade qualified preferred: experience with centre lathes, milling machines, digital readouts.
Desirable: additional experience electric arc welding, thermal welding.

Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator:

Trade qualified preferred: overall experience in metal fabrication with welding certificates; pressure vessel certificate ideal.

Fitter/Mechanic:

Trade qualified preferred: licenced mechanic, diesel fuel injection experience, crane, forklift, petrol engine and LPGas.

[NB: The above would be very experienced trades people, lesser experienced people should also be encouraged as on the job training would be given. Additional training for working on vessels would also be given.]

Carpenters:

Trade qualified preferred: experienced in building trades.

Woodworkers:

Semi-skilled/unskilled: people with woodworking skills.

Shipwrights

Pattern Maker:

Woodworking trades person, who would need to be evaluated by volunteers.
