Our heritage vessels are available for charter for your special occasion!
What better way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, family gathering, local club outing etc, than cruising on Sydney Harbour aboard one of our 100+ year-old historic vessels.
Please note that crew for our heritage vessels are all volunteers, all charters are subject to crew being available.
JAMES CRAIG
James Craig
James Craig offers many desirable features which will add a wow factor to any function. Whether it be your wedding, Christmas party, corporate & networking function or private dinner; this very unique ship will make your event stand out from the rest.
We can offer affordable functions dockside at lively Darling Harbour, or you can charter around Sydney’s beautiful harbour with up to 180 guests. For more information, please select the function type:

SMALL VESSEL FLEET
The cost to charter one of our heritage vessels includes the required crew, who are all volunteers. There are no galley facilities available on our smaller vessels, therefore you can either BYO food, beverage and all incidental expenses, or have the event catered by our specialist caterer, LHM Catering. They are very experienced in catering on our vessels and understand the heritage nature and associated restrictions onboard. Once you have confirmed a date and time, we require a 50% deposit to be paid within 7 days to secure the charter, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to the event.
Embarking and disembarking of passengers for our heritage vessels is at our Heritage Docks & Workshop at Gate 4, James Craig Road, Rozelle. (Please click here for directions.)

Lady Hopetoun
LADY HOPETOUN
1902 VIP steam launch Lady Hopetoun is available for charter Thursday – Sunday inclusive, for any 3-hour period between the hours of 10am and 9pm.
The maximum number of passengers allowed is 27. Please note any catering staff must be included in this number.
The cost of a 3-hour charter during November – February (peak season) is $1,950.00 and during March – October (off peak season) is $1,650.00.
Waratah
WARATAH
1902 steam tug Waratah is available for charter Friday – Sunday inclusive, for any 3-hour period between the hours of 12pm and 9pm.
The maximum number of passengers allowed is 49. Please note any catering staff must be included in this number.
The cost of a 3-hour charter during November – February (peak season) is $2,450.00 and during March – October (off peak season) is $2,050.00.
Boomerang
BOOMERANG
1903 gentleman’s schooner Boomerang is available for charter exclusively by Sydney Heritage Fleet members. To become a member please see Memberships.
Boomerang is available daily for any 3-hour period between the hours of 10am and 9pm at a cost of $1,800.00.
The maximum number of passengers allowed is 25.
