Half Day Tours for Groups

Harbour North Side

Let our knowledgeable volunteer guides take you on a tour to discover the stories of Sydney’s northern harbour foreshore!

We begin with a morning tea at Yots Café on the Darling Harbour waterfront outside the Australian National Maritime Museum. The tour on our small motor launch Harman (c.1943) focusses on the northern harbour foreshore between Bradleys Head and Balls Head, heading deeper into the bays and coves than commercial vessels can manage. Passengers will see the sites and hear the stories of the northern harbour’s once extensive boat and shipbuilding and engineering enterprises; former sites of heavy industry that are now public parks and reserves; Aboriginal settlement; colonial defence installations; places of recreation and leisure (old and new), and places that have seen major Australian artistic achievement.

The tour finishes back at the Australian National Maritime Museum wharf by 1 pm for lunch at Yots Café, if your group takes up the $15 lunch deal. Menu choices and an order form will be attached to the booking confirmation.

Our guides will meet your group at 9.30am at the Two Anchors in the paved area outside the Australian National Maritime Museum main doors, at the western end of Pyrmont Bridge, Pyrmont. Groups members need to arrive at Pyrmont before 9.30am.

Group Bookings are taken for Tuesdays and Thursdays at $35 per person.

Minimum passenger numbers: 15 (or groups of fewer than 15 pay $525)
Maximum passenger numbers: 24
